this is weird...i just got thinking about this band again today.

i like what i've heard
they've got a psychedelic side, but i really like how it's held down with a garage-y rumble.
i should buy some, i reckon.

by coincidence, I accidentally came across a few of their albums on DC++ a few days ago, and they are an excellent listen. Definitely music for driving or bicycling.

I just found out about them from one of my friends. Weren't they one of the first underground psychedelic bands of the late 60's? The only album I heard from them was a live recording.

Psychedelic Sounds Of is a good album.

however... the "jugging" gets annoying many times.

I'm currently still pondering if to travel 200km south tomorrow to check out Roky Ericksson. I think I indeed will.

DAMN STRAIGHT.

Easter Everywhere is really where Erickson began to lose his mind. Just a quintessential psych album if there ever was one.

Not to take anything away from Psychedelic Sounds Of...but EE is a beastly collection of songs.

Bump.
I agree with those that said Easter Everywhere is better. Slip Inside This House is a psychedelic classic.

His debut solo album is great too, well worth a listen. It can be found below :) vvv

Easter Everywhere is mmmmmmmmmgood.

Side note: I actually met Roky Erickson yesterday at a used bookstore. (!!!)
I swore it was him meticulously perusing the horror section so I inched over to make sure he wasn't just any awesomely grizzlied out dude. He dropped a book that rolled over onto my foot (which was like the perfect chance to know for sure). I handed it back to him he said something like "you're good at that!" which means absolutely NOTHING which means it had to be that psyched out warlord so I inquired with an "aren't yooooou....?"
And he smiled and introduced himself and shook my hand. We talked a little about H.P. Lovecraft and afterwards told me it was nice to meet me and he'd see me later* (which is a fucking cool thing to say btw so take note future warlords) and then he made his way to suspense/thriller. I jizzed all over Stephan King as I stared at the back of his North Face windbreaker. I could hear the rustling of that jacket making its way throughout the store like a singing bowl reverberating in the temple of my soul.
"Goodbye sweet dreams..." I whispered.

Most of that happened.
