matt was great to come on here and share stuff with us. he didn't have to do any of that and he really did give a lot for someone in his position. i will always be grateful to him for helping me out with various things related to TMV and BR and being so open and giving us little bonuses and teasers. he went above and beyond tbh and people giving him shit don't know what it's like to actually be involved in that kind of stuff.

Lost my rag when he hyped Antemasque as the best thing they'd done though, I remember cowering in a corner with what i can only describe as Bon Jovi getting blasted at me. My god damned neighbours complained and told me to turn it up.

I call a late August digital release with vynil/special releases in mid to late September

I think Volta is one of those bands that wouldn’t release without vinyl to accompany it. Did they ever do that?

Many bands start releasing vinyl/physical a month or two after the digital release so that there would be no leak. I think tool release fear inoculum on vinyl only now?

Nothing to do with leaks, the record plants simply can't produce new records quickly due to enormous demand.

Yeah, assuming the record has been finished for awhile and was delayed due to Covid, it’s likely it’s already printed and given how big Volta has always been about issuing vinyl, I’d be surprised to see a digital release and then a vinyl later. Coheed delayed their album to wait for the vinyl to get pressed as well
