Hmm, why would they post it on TMV's twitter if it's an Omar solo album?

Maybe it's the new scabdates!!! :wizard:

it is going to suck when it is awesome and we figure out it was the scraped lp6. it will probably be cooler than octahedron and bedlam but not mixed well and no vocals. that would be a bummer. haha

they need to make a Scabdates parts II and III, part II: Frances/Amp era, Part III Bedlam/Octa era...
that would be sweet...maybe "Solar Gambling" is the title of the "ORLG European Tour 2009" DVD...!?!?
then again probably not...

Solar Gambling is an anagram of Omar Bangs Gill.

It is obviously the soundtrack to his love-making with a previous partner.

minor cuts is amazing! :walkman:
i wouldn't mind a record full of songs like Solonoid Mosque (longer versions), Pawn Shop Blues or A PINCHING INVENTION (!).
you know, nice programmed beats, cool basslines and some guitar/synth/rhodes melodies.

lol, i started asking her more questions but she shut me down - I need some OMAR!!!! - especially since we are now gonna be 18 months between Volta releases, which is fucking lame...

There's always been a 18 month gap between TMV albums (except Amp -> Bedlam was 15 months)

Correction, there was a 18 months gap when the contract said "1 album per year", now "1 album every 18 months" means 18 months + delays.

This could be anything, the title is great.

When was there ever a delay? A delay is when the record label puts a date, and then changes it. It's not a delay if Omar says the record is "done" a year before it comes out. When did Universal/Warner ever set a date and then push it back?

Don't believe everything Omar says. Remember LP5 was "done" in January 2008? Wasn't recorded until August 2008, and then mixed and mastered in the following months. (I believe it was mastered in March?). March was around the same time we found out about Octa I believe. So Warner did what every big record label does;

1. promote the album for a few months
2. people find out about albums
3. ????
4. profit

Don't worry guys, LP6 = January/Feb/March 2011, and LP7 = Sept 2012.
