The endless river I agree is the best Floyd after Waters left. I remember someone on here or somewhere online joked how could the river be endless without Waters? Lol.

But it's the best post wall chillsy Floyd you can get and that one solo wright track autumn 68 is chilling to hear after his death imo. I'd rather they keep the actual singing on there to a minimum since there's no roger to compliment it, and Dave does a fine job on the 2 (is it 2?) tracks with sung lyrics.

I think it was a fitting final song. The beginning of the second track it's what we do has literally the exact same notes of the horn in the beginning of shine on, I'm sure that was intentional. And the slow jams has a modern and not stuck in time sound imo like their momentary lapse and division bell albums have. Like, this is how they sounded during some of their slower jams back in their hey day. Imho it's everything it needed to be to showcase wrights final work without it seeming too Gilmour-y.

Endless river is good but its the worst PF album. I must say it doesnt even feel like a pf album. It feels like just outtakes and i agree with mike portnoy or whoever said that itd be better if they released it as a bonus CD to division bell

Sounds like an Any Colour You Like, Echos, Dogs (just the barking), On the Run (footsteps) mash up with Bob Dylan singing over it.

It's decent. He's honoring his Floydian past, sonically. Bits are straight lifted from WYWH, Animals, TDSOTM.

I'm interested in this album more to see what Nigel Godrich can do with Roger Waters music.

from what I've heard he's the reason it's an album and not a radio play so it would seem like he's been good about keeping bloat down
