nice...i was wondering when Zach was going to join them for a show...i hope a better recording shows up soon
I noticed they released a video the other day for one of my favorite tracks off of the new album...
I like the new album more than the 1st but the videos haven't been nearly as good. I hope they do something as epic as "A Christmas Fucking Miracle" ...hopefully for the track "Angelduster", which I think is by far the best track they've recorded together so far.

Wow, there was no thread for this before ? Where did all the gushing over this project took place before ?
Anyways i'm with Cochese, Angelduster is among their best tracks so far, and the presence of Ikey sublimates it.

These two are (in my opinion) the best in the "hip-hop game" currently. DYI indie ethics have blown away all that overproduced garbage.
And still they wont get a grammy nod....
just shows how bullshit those awards are

I search for a thread but I found nothing, there was a lot of discussion on "best of" threads

Ahah okay, I found it surprising since we seem to be a handful to dig them.
I wasn't into hip-hop for ages, I only started listening since last year, with Cochese mentioning RTJ 1 and hyping up the 2nd LP when the track Oh My Darling Don't Cry got revealed.
So that's without any background knowledge that I'll reply to Snkzato1. But like you, I found that some of the few albums that I tried last year were clearly along those DIY indie ethics line as you call them.
I really digged both Clipping and Open Mike Eagle records. As well as DG discography, and most of BBNG work (even tho that's stretching it a bit since they usually don't have vocals).
But anyways, I find it pretty fresh and interesting compared to what people have been trying to promote as the next big hip-hop thing, new sensation or whatever they wanna call them.

RTJ are great there were killer at Fun Fun Fun last year and Mike and EL-P were nice enough to stick around and bullshit with me so that was cool too. Also love that they got Zach from RATM to rap on the newest album cause you know.. he's kind of pulling an Axl Rose with disappearing from public and releasing music as a whole.

Kinda easy to understand why they chose to make a clip for that song, but astounding video nonetheless.
