Listened to Amputechture last week for the 1st time in a long long time.

Still blown away by how great this album is. It’s wonderful how you can wear out a record, stop listening to it, then come back to it much later and still be filled with awe.

Love listening to it around Halloween.

I think it's a good album to listen to when it's cooler outside for some reason.

Bedlam is a good Summer album..

Amp is one of my go to summer albums. Blazing hot sunny days, baked on weed, loud as a motherfucker.

I like it just fine. Presently my favorite, even. A lot of the singing is really nice,  which is funny considering I used to only listen to singers with deep voices. Music effects me in a very physical way, though. I can feel  those high notes in my bladder. Bedlam, unfortunately, will be forever associated with taking ruinous shits. I swore there were brown notes in there. A gauntlet of them. I ate some questionable yogurt while listening for the first time, you see. It's a good album. Doesn't deserve that association.

Amp is the shit and Mecca is one of the two most underrated Volta songs ever imo, Ouroboros being the other, for the curious, and for the non-curious, tbh

Also there are no patterns to my Volta phases, they just kind of happen (outside of Octo, really).

Ouroboros, that section at 4:10 is one of my favorite Volta moments ever.

Conjugal Burns is probably the most underrated TMV song, to be honest.

But yes, then Mecca for sure.

Also Luciforms from 4:08 to the end of the song. Very underrated.

Amputechture is my personal favorite of all of their material.  To me it seemed like Vermicide should have been on the radio, and we never got to see Viscera Eyes' video.  This as we all know is the last album to feature Jon Theodore, who IMO shouldn't have been fired.  John Frusciante also performs with Omar on Vicarious Atonement.  Tetragrammaton sounds like the theme song for a holy war lol.  This album is spot on in every respect.  11/10

I agree about Vermicide. I remember thinking that upon first listening to the album. I considered Vermicide similar to both Widow and Televators, while being superior to The Widow.
