Just got back from seeing them.  Seated venue which was kind of odd, but Milwaukee's rock venues are pretty small so I assume they had to go this route due to demand.  Opener was nothing special musically, but they looked straight out of a 1985 mall parking lot with mullets and acid wash jeans.  The singer also danced like a super jerky loon.

Gizzard were awesome, show had a bit of a slow start, but quickly went berserk.  The drummers were oddly quiet, not sure if that was a venue thing, but they were not playing very hard, which having seen the new King Crimson a few times was interesting to see.

The visuals are amazing, real engaging (or distracting depending on your view).  The animation for The River was something out of a dystopian future Yellow Submarine.

Go see them if you get a chance.

I've heard Oddments, but beyond that are any of the old albums worth my time?  Is it like old ATDI where its more novelty or were they firing on all cylinders early on

Float Along and Eyes Like The Skies are worth checking out. The other two a little less imho.
