Same here. I like the naive honesty of the lyrics, mixed with the epic sound. It's kinda touching. Reminds of being a kid.

one of my bandmates likes this band a lot, he saw them on the hove festival, so i checked out oracular spectacular and i like it.

How does MGMT in any way sound like Coldplay? If they sound like anyone, they sound like Bowie from the Spiders era. And that's not a bad thing, in my opinion. Weekend Wars is my new favorite song.

originally when i got the album i thought they sounded like a poor man's of montreal but the album has grown on me a lot. live though they're pretty unimpressive. worth seeing once but i doubt i'll go see them again.

Theyre coming live to my city (Richmond) and am debating on whether or not to see them. I think I'll go though. Theyre with two other bands

Their show at Bonnaroo was pretty good. I really liked their album and they had a really fun show, nothing too profound, but an enjoyable show none the less.

i've heard them called a poor man's arcade fire


i think that every single song on the album is awesome and unique

they all have a really good vibe
