I'll even put Some Need It Lonely over Tomato.

It's just not for me. Again, this kind of music is fun to play but I can't sit down and listen to it. I would only rank it above Despair and the Jeremy album.

Dude I loved this album, I agree its not an easy listen, but its very creative and definitely enjoyable when your in the right mood

yeah i love it, it's like a noir movie for your ears. im just surprised you put SNIL and infinity above it hbk because this is more "musical" than those two

I didn't really like this album that much at first, it was pretty hard to get through on first listen. but it has since become one of my favorites. it kind of reminds me of Mantra in a way which is also a favorite (another album I initially had a hard time with). Woman is def one of his more difficult albums that requires multiple listens to even get a feel for
I don't think this album is supposed to have much melody or be catchy by any means, so the fact that you can't remember any notation isn't saying much.
Woman being more musical than Infinity and snil is also debatable. I'd even argue that it's not more musical. those are actual songs with discernable melody and harmony (to a degree) Woman is noisey af experimental chaos.
The artwork is amazing. I really wish this one would have been pressed to wax...

you're telling me you don't think puebla and amsterdam are catchy? i find the melodies of puebla, brooklyn, and the middle part of el paso (the bit that's in sentimental engine slayer) really awesome too. definitely agree with you on the mantra comparison though

I'd say the songs are quite well crafted on this, there's quite a lot of tension and the keys, sax, bass and drums are usually on the same page

ive thought about proposing that on here (same with the rest of the 2012 albums) or just getting a single run white label for myself, the only thing that makes me hesitate is the facebook video with the el paso remix. i could see this album benefitting from a facelift, and if he does it as well as he did with solo->nom and there's an actual vinyl release for these ipecac albums i'd prefer that

I agree about the whole Solo->Nom thing and the facebook video seems to be an indication that a remix is coming. The only thing that would suck about a Woman remix album being pressed on vinyl is that the artwork probably won't be as good as the original and that's a crime.
It's a shame Woman, Saber, and Un Corazon were never pressed

i shall make a mix of this album, mantra, infinity drips, despair and JMW+ORL. any albums i'm missing?

One of my Omar favourites.
I'd kill for a vinyl boot.
