He's made:
Niandra Ladies & Usually Just a T-Shirt
Smile From the Streets You Hold
To Record Only Water For 10 Days
From The Sounds Inside
Shadows Collide With People
Automatic Writing (w/Ataxia)
The Will To Death
Inside of Emptiness
A Sphere In The Heart of Silence
Curtains
also: Going Inside EP and DC EP
And an unnamed project with Josh Klinghoffer, follow up to Shadows Collide With People, to be released this year.
Also, he's got the side project called Ataxia, second album for that is almost out.
The last 6 on that main list were part of the 6 albums in 6 months thing he did last year. Many of them are a bit.. similar? But that's understandable since they were all recorded in such a concentrated amount of time and then released as seperate albums.
Shadows Collide With People is my favorite, it's not as rough as his other material, some people think it's too polished actually- but there are some really great songs on it, including Carvel, one of my favorite songs of his.
So, basically, if you haven't ever given his stuff a listen, there's plenty to choose from.

Been a John-devotee since I heard him sing Tiny dancer on Pinkpop fest bootleg. NiandraLaDes really took some time to grow on me, as an album.
Favourites:
Niandra - My smile is a rifle
To record - Fallout
Shadows - Wednesday's song
Will to death - Loss
Ataxia - the first track (I rarely listen to it with the album cover)
DC EP - A corner
Inside of emptiness - tough one... 666 or Scratches. Firm kick has the best C-part.
Sphere - can't remember any titles, prefer John's vocals to Josh's anyways
Curtains - Anne or Ascension. Def Anne
Ataxia II - Hands A.K.A Ethiopian song
John has also made me find out fine artists like T.Rex, Sweet, Siouxsie and the Banshees, P.I.L and the list goes on...
Seen him doing great versions of Sweet's Fox on the run, KISS's Love Gun! and King Crimson's Lament, not to forget version almost on the level of Tiny dancer, We're going wrong by Cream.

Some good stuff. I like Curtains.
My favorite aswell, something about the vocals and the melodies, he reminds me of a medieval muse on this cd.

Other: I looove Niandra ... and To Record ... , both amazing albums with mindblowing songs on them. Took me a while to get into Shadows ... though, but I consider it wonderful now ... especially the acoustic version.

yeah he first released it for drug money then pulled it because he waas pretty ashamed. then released it again after he got clean because he realized that it was really sick even though he was all doped up.Wait ... Smile from the Streets You Hold had a re-release?
