I bought their records years ago and they are awesome,I still listen to them a lot,and I guess I will for a long, long time.

I miss someone like Shannon Hoon in the music world of today.
And someone like Jeff Buckley.

And someone like Layne Staley(specially Layne,ALICE AND CHAINS and MAD SEASON were...not from this world). And someone like Elliott Smith.

well,at least they left a beautiful legacy...that I will never be thankful enough to.

(...)

"hey I`d like to daze away to a place no one has known
in a state of mind I could call mine, that only I could own
where I could hum a tune any time I choose, and there`s no such thing as time
where I can feel no pain, just calm and sane, what a place for one to find..."

"I WONDER"(BLIND MELON)

I want to recommend this band specially to one member of the comatorium:

Hell yes, Jenna's voice on that one is godly. I had been hoping for a solo record from her for the longest time but I guess it's not going to materialize (ever). Don't think she's featured on anything other than 'MoC', including other bands.

Blind Melon are one of my all-time favorite bands. 'Soul One' brings tears to my eyes each time I hear it for some obscure reason. And 'Letters from a Porcupine' is easily the best music DVD you could find - even though it is lacking chapters.

Also, I found somewhere to order the 'Soup' digipak (the one that looks like a menue) and once that arrives I'll be the happiest person on the planet. Great to see some love for the Melon around here.

 , are you joking?

anyway I started to listen to Blind Melon a year ago or so and they quickly became one of my favorite bands. I only have "Soup" though and haven't yet listened to the first album.

I agree with you two! "mouthful of cavities"is incredible,I have the same feeling with the song "my curse" by THE AFGHAN WHIGS,where Marcy Mays did a beautiful performance as well.

I think we are speaking here of some of the best music ever recorded.

apart from that, let`s ignore such an ignorant remark like that...regarding AIC and BLIND MELON.

You obviously haven't heard more than a few songs by each band. Or most likely your opinion is based on 'No Rain' and 'Grind' alone - both of which are certainly not representative of the band's catalog.

Blind Melon and 'Grunge'?

I would like to say this:

ALICE IS CHAINS are as good as LED ZEPPELIN

I don`t care if most people agree with me or not, they(AIC) are incredible musicians, and Layne had the best voice I`ve ever heard.
