I guess the cool thing is the live performance RS linked in too was Lowlands

That performance gives me goose bumps. Amazing.

The most comforting aspect of this moment is that
there is a great chance that The Mars Volta will not
participate in too many more RS (functions) anytime
soon- aside from reviews.

I am reluctant to speak for any other guitar player.
However, if you called my house asking me to pose with
even just one of those greats [sans John Mayer out of principle]
that changed the public perception of what the guitar can do,
I would find it hard to make the rest of my day more interesting.

I seriously thought that was Ricky Martin holding Eddie Van Halen's guitar.

When I saw this cover, I thought wow does Omar look uncomfortable among all these guys. Hahaha. He and John Mayer are looking at eachother like "Why are we with all these vets?"

Looks like the media is trying to intimidate Omar with the FAILED LEADERSHIP thing they slapped on his legs. Typical! Omar if you're reading this don't let them scare you. iViva la Volta!

Bravo, Omar!

That list is pretty silly though. I agreed with probably about one out of every twenty placements. I would think that Tetra or Day of the Baphomets would be chosen, oh well. At least (like someone said earlier) it wasn't The Widow.

Yeah Drunkship is about the percussion.
Maybe Cicatriz would be nice
Or Tetra
Maybe even Goliath

Don't understand why they didn't pick Roulette from lowlands. Pure orgasmic. Ah well, at least it's not the widow (lol).

They used the same interview and list in the Aus rolling stone, but there's an alternate version (some special edition or something) with a tiled cover that has a short interview with Ced/Omar in it, if any Aussie news junkies want to look out for that. Key tracks mentioned in that article included Roulette Dares :)

I got the Aus RS last week, small one page interview with just Omar, same as I had read on here in News. Haven't heard of or seen special edition.
