Had a chat with Cathy a little while ago - she confirmed "Xenophanes" has a US release of 11/10 and said that "Solar Gambling" will come out first - she says it is an ORL album - anyone know about this?

this is some good news, so Xenophanes, "Los Sueños de Un Higado", El Trio album "Ciencia de los Inutiles" and now "Solar Gambling"....damn i hope my brain can take so much ORL for the next 3 1/2 months if all this comes out before the end of the year.

Probably since it came out of nowhere, unless it's a project we already know of, like his collaboration with Deantoni Parks.

Are we sure it's an Omar album? The Sargent House Twitter page just says it's gonna come out on RLP. I didn't know she said anything it about it being Omar's album specifically...unless you asked her yourself...

What if it's Cedric's solo album?

I asked if it was an "ORL" album and she said yes....so, I am assuming it's an Omar album....but who knows - there's so many goodies coming!!! - since our conversation earlier tonite she posted the "Solar Gambling" record on Rodriguez-Lopez Productions Myspace...so it is legit.

you could be right Dandelion...i also have a feeling it might be like Megaritual where it was just Omar and Marcel,
whatever it is i'm glad it's coming out. I hope it's another incredible album like "Apocalypse Inside of an Orange".

Maybe it's the next Zechs Marquise album.

TheMarsVolta twittered "Solar Gambling... talk among yourselves". Maybe it's the scraped LP6?

there's a possibility...just like "old money" was suppose to be a TMV album, "solar gambling" could
be what was suppose to be LP6

Holy shit yes, that does make sense. Sort of in a simmilar fashion to Old Money, like how we found out about it the day of and was able to download it that day. Not saying we're getting it within the next week or month, but that it will be an album of undeveloped ideas (although more so than regular Omar solo albums) intended especially for Mars Volta use.

Time will tell, but the pop up on the mars volta twitter does make me lean toward this theory
