Haven't listened to this in over a month, but I might change that today. Great album. His remixes are also really really cool. But I hope he continues to do more stuff like his s/t.

It's just so out there and completely unlikely anything else I've heard. A true visionary...and to think he's just getting started. Digging the guitar in the vids I've seen.

Saw him last week...don't believe the hype... The 2nd half of the gig was pretty good, but there are other electronic acts doing things way better then this in Australia who will get fuck all people to shows; were this sold out in less then an hour. You could tell a lot of people left and i think more wanted to leave early but hung around to save face. For me I almost left but was with a friend, like i said the 2nd half of the show was a lot better and I am glad I stayed. CMYK goes good live, was one of my highlights.

I liked his ep's more then his album. The album has some good stuff but it also gets a bit tiresome.

Amazing show in Montreal. Completely changed how I perceived the use of electronics onstage (like the samplers and vocoders etc.) I wouldnt say I was against them before...but they use it in such an enganging manner, "instrumental" to their show and sound and it works so well. New found respect.

Oh and I filmed the whole thing and put it on YT cuz I'm that badass:

anyone jump into the new album yet? Overall I really like it, especially the title track and Life Round Here. DLM let's him shine at the piano and vocals, To The Last kinda gives me a neo-80's feel but I like it. Our Love Comes Back sounds like a b-side from the first album, but I ain't mad. Only song I'm not really feeling is the track with RZA, doesn't fit for me. Definitely looking forward to his show in May (although I will say the live versions of Retrograde aren't as exciting to me)

Bonus track

AND OH YEAH

he is playing Coachella this weekend and they will be streaming his set on Sunday while I am at work...praying to the youtube/internet gods that it gets recorded.

I don't get why I'm not feeling the album. Like, I like the songs and all but it just doesn't seem cohesive. And there's a few songs that are a bit of a letdown, yeah that Rza track and maybe another one or two. And it's super duper short!

He was dissing his own last record saying its all over the place, but if anything this one has no lineage. Or maybe because I hold the last record in such high light, like seriously, that 2011 year and that record forever changed the way I see music.

Or maybe its because I was watching live videos of these songs and was loving it and the studio ones just seem dry. All in all so far , I feel disconnected to the album but I like the songs, if that makes sense.

I have been getting quite obsessed over this album for about a week now playing it almost non-stop.. Honestly I felt the same way you did at first, with the 1st record not being toppable. I've come to realize though, that this one is far better. It's more mature, less repetitive in places. The beats are probably my favorite thing about it, he's changed the style a bit, into more hip hop and less post-dubstep or whatever they called it. Life round here is fuckin Money. I really dig RZAs track too I dunno how you couldn't..

Wayyyy better live than on album. The arrangements come through a lot better imo. In fact the s/t tour wasn't as good as its own album but in this case its the opposite.
