Basically, John was in Winnipeg for two weeks in August (from what a totally random person who's about fifty years old emailed me out of blue to tell me and begged me not to spread, as it wasn't OK to spread it), in some place, recording music non-stop and the source said that he and Aaron have recorded eight hours of material. The person added that songs are really lengthy too.

Thanks for posting about that! This could be good. Though, if I could chose, I'd still prefer the JF, VS, cEvin Key and whoever else was there collaboration to be released.

maybe he's gonna play DevilFish TB303 + Innerclock Sync Shift

cause i think he's gonna use what he used during the 2008 Modular Jam @ Casa cyrusrex on june 10th 2008 including Venetian Snares and many others:

Aaron Funk (Venetian Snares) - TR808 + Pedal FX
Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails + Modwheelmood)- Buchla Modular
Baseck - Moog Little Phatty + FX Pedals
cEvin Key (Skinny Puppy)- Tenori-On + Space Echo
cyrusrex - Moog Little Phatty + Frostwave + Various Pedals + Mackie 1604 + Pro Tools
Dre - Moogerfooger FX + Nintendo DS
John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) - DevilFish TB303 + Innerclock Sync Shift
Otto Von Schirach - TR909 + FX + Cell Phone
Squigg - Eurorack Modular and Pedal FX + Mobius

also in the description it says:

John Frusciante (Legendary guitarist of the RHCP) & Aaron Funk (Venetian Snares)
are joining forces for the first time to bring us a live 303 & 808 analogue show as...
SPEED DEALER MOMS

means:
Venetian Snares - TR808
John Frusciante - DevilFish TB303

ditto. pre-ordered the vinyl. I'm really liking the second track in particular. So many sounds, so much depth. This is the type of music that will grow and change through different listens if you know what i mean. I hope they release an LP in the near future! John still has Sphere in the Heart of Silence II sitting around. I hope he gets back into releasing mode soon!

I thought I remembered having heard something about A Sphere in the Heart of Silence II back in 2004/2005, but now I really can't recall if it was really intended to be a release soon or if they simply had more music of the same vein written from earlier in 2004. I absolutely love ASITHOS and definitely want another full-on writing collaborative from he and Josh Klinghoffer.

Also, Eric Avery, of my signature, recently did a video chat interview that is on YouTube, discussing what was a potential band which would have consisted of John, Josh and himself. They would have opened for the NIN/JA tour instead of Street Sweeper Social Club. Seems like it would have been largely improvised.

Eric once played live with both John and Josh, on Performance 9 (which kicks ass big time). There's full video on YouTube - a must-see.

Yuuup, Josh and Carla both on drums, Flea and Eric on bass... Josh fuckin' kills it.

Okay. That link up there is part 3. Here is part 4. This stuff is just too good to not make known:

If you like music/John Frusciante at all, you'll appreciate this show. Plus he and Josh perform "The Days Have Turned" & "The Will To Death" at the end.
