Surprised there hasn't been a thread on these guys yet.

I listened to a song or two. Reminded me of my reaction to Fall of Troy where I was impressed on a technical level, but really disliked the music on a personal level. The singing is repulsive.

feel like the weird vocals are fitting and add a bit of charm to the music tbh, I'm a fan to this point

I'll dig into their boiler room and kexp jams, and the latest singles!

Okay I understand that his voice can be make or break. But this track should be appealing to TMV listeners.
It's leagues better than any Fall of Troy bullshit, and honnestly super close to the Tremulant era stuff.
And overall, they tap into post rock/punk/hardcore, math rock, you can tell they probably listened to talking heads as much as Tera Melos or Battles. Their live performances are on point, the singer often changes the way he delivers vocals. It's honnestly pretty exciting considering they're all like 25 y/o and are already at that level.
But then again, it's all very subjective

That video is great. I love it and hate it at the same time, I'm glad that it exists. I like these guys energy (the TV performance with the guitar player doing a flip) and experimentation but I keep remembering this every time I listen to them.
The singing is repulsive.
That singer is so punchable and it makes me ashamed that I feel that way.

Yeah it's a killer track. Also I've never been much of a music video guy but the video for John L is wild and a great visual pairing. Pre-ordered the vinyl earlier this week.
