Yeah, I love the entire series he did for that album. Just weird, uneasy absurdist portraiture that set a scene and expressed the music perfectly with great colors. Also I always thought this insert piece for Octahedron made a way better artwork than the actual cover. Selfishly wish they would reissue that album with this sleeve instead.

Same! Beautiful piece of art i some how missed. I guess i was still trippin on the fact that octo was a let down compared to bedlam; still love album though

Listening to the Tremulant EP on Apple Music right now and Cut That City sounds punchy as fuck. I don't have the knowledge to pick apart the details of whatever mix treatment they gave it but it sounds really good! Nice stereo separation too.

 

Would looove to hear the version of this track they re-recorded for the Deloused sessions, if that exists. I adore the other two.

Yeah I'd love to hear an updated Cut That City.  I think Cedric said they rehearsed it but didn't actually record it?  I love the De-Loused version of Concertina but I actually prefer the Tremulant version of Eunuch, the re-recorded version sounds too clean and kinda loses the punch.

tremulant and deloused are two entirely seperate things. although rick wanted to rework them they remained unused.....at least the re recorded version of eunuch and concertina. it just didnt make since to do them over and we also tried changing the key of cut that city for rick....which is floating around from some sneaky asshole who recorded us with out our knowledge when we practiced at swing house in los angeles. so u can probably hear us discussing it on that recording.

i wonder if a studio re-recording of Cut That City exists. i always took for granted that it did, but re-reading this i have my doubts. Cedric acknowledges Concertina and Eunuch separately and only says that they rehearsed an updated Cut That City.

I wonder where he got the idea that a recording of the rehearsal leaked?  That was the first time I had ever heard anything about that.

Cut that city was performed live once in 2003 and 2004. Maybe its similar to the version that was gonna be on deloused? Is there a recording? TMV always perform the "deloused" version of concertina since they recorded it.

The last confirmed performance of CTC was at Coachella '02. Looks like they've never played it since Eva left.

Sounds to me like he was approached by some fan claiming to have heard a leaked post-tremulant recording of cut that city when in fact it was probably concertina and/or eunuch.

i'm not sure that he's implying that anything was leaked. all he seems to say is that someone recorded their rehearsal, and i guess extrapolates that the person could've done anything with that recording ("floating around").

Just received copyright claims for Deus Ex Machina and The Palpitations Form A Limit from my upload of AMD. These are the two tracks that were included on Telesterion, so it doesn't have to mean anything besides Clouds Hill also obtaining the rights for that.
