if you're like me you've downloaded live video performances of your favourite artists not only from concerts but also from SNL, Leno, Letterman, and Conan (and Kimmell and Daly and blah blah blah) ... What are some of your favourite performances from late night television?

I really dig the really old chili peppers performance of stone cold bush from SNL- full of solos and Kiedis is intense in it ... I also like pretty much every performance by APC that I've found from Leno and Conan and whatnot ... I liked Sparta's recent performances of breaking the broken too - but I just love that song ...

Et tu?

At the drive-in ripped Letterman a new one

All of the White Stripes performances on Conan (especially the last one "let's build a home")

Eagles of Death Metal on Conan

Bright Eyes recent appearance on Craig Fergusen was really good. It was entertaining to see Bright Eyes's very panzy looking band smash their set and storm off in a very punk fashion.

Also Erykah Badu on Letterman performing "Penitentiary Philosophy"

That was fucking insane.

I liked Tenacious D on...... I think it was Conan but it might've been Letterman. They had costumes and everything.

I heard Busta Phymes was good.
And I really liked RATM on Conan, as well as system of a down.

Modest Mouse on Letterman playing "Satin In a Coffin".
The Arcade Fire on Conan playing "Neighborhood #2"
Bright Eyes on Craig Ferguson playing "Road to Joy"
Sonic Youth on letterman playing "Unmade Bed" (i think that's what it's called)

Road to joy is an amazing song live, when I saw them live, Conor left his guitar one the amp so there was mad feed back, and then climbed on top of the set and wiped it all out, but the drummer kept the beat going. Then conor took his guitar and started smashing it into the amp. it was crazy.

I saw this married couple sing like cherubs in opalescent gowns and fedoras on Conan. Their pulchritude was extrinsic, but their sweet melodic dins confirmed the undeniable projection of souls. methinks it was quite possibly the most stunning and least platitudinous viewing my eyes have ever seen. Although succint, it was gorgeous. I have no idea who it was, either.
