DEP is one of the greatest metalcore acts ever created. Awesome and hating them is just not right.

I like Miss Machine. I really needed a few listens to get into it. Not easy stuff at first.

After Miss Machine, I have no reason to listen to any of their other albums, except for those to be made in the future.

Amazing band. I never would have imagined they could get more technical, but the intro to "We Are The Storm" is even more technical than "43% Burnt", and other songs on "Calculating Infinity".

i honestly hate the band. but chris pennie is quite possibly the sickest drummer ever. plus plus im biased because i'm originally a fan strictly because of mike patton.

They sound beautiful. I'd like their style to that of Explosions In The Sky.

"We Are The Storm" and "Set Fire To Sleeping Giant" are the best songs on the album.

Meh, all DEP really is now is a trend. When I liked DEP a few years ago people disparaged me and said I was a freak for liking them. Now, look! Everyone has jumped on the DEP bandwagon, 'cause they're trendy! This just shows that people don't like or even appreciate the music. It's all about being in style, and having the perfect music to complement it. Well, that's what it seems like over here.

...Or maybe people didn't find out about them until just recently?

But hey, great job on being a true and original fan. You're not a phony like everyone else.

To be fair, until Miss Machine, to me, Dillinger was just another band in a sea of facelessness, albeit a band with obscene skill. But this newest album, while not anything too different or "out there," is just so polished - and in a good way that makes me excited for new releases. Plus, I think Greg just fits better and I like his sense of showmanship and atmosphere and he gives 110% at a gig.

I just listened to Miss Machine for the first time, and I think that this band could be so much more if the vocals weren't shit, and also if they weren't complex jsut for complexity's sake. The Mellow parts are amazing, but the mindless screaming fucks msot of the songs up. It might grow on me, but right I'm not really pleased. Any thoughts?
