Not one of their CD's apart from Opiate was brought out even within 6 mths of its 'actual' release date.
Maynard always says hes straight-edge and never been on the drugs. SOO many of his lyrics suggest otherwise.
Their bands name is a bit suggestive dont you think
They say things like 'oh we're not compulsive liars' < totallar a fact
i figure they just love to enticingly kill fans with their supreme powers of suspense. assholes

1 thing i learned about the tool long ago: never trust ANYTHING they say, nor their management. You'll get shot down everytime. . . uh yeh heres some back-up info

Of course they love it wouldnt you?
on Salival there was a sticker reading "watch out for new Tool release in the summer) that summer Lateralus was released.
I do not believe he is on drugs currently though he has never stated he was "stright-edge"
The name Tool comes from a few possible sources. One refering to people in the millitary who are tools. Or could be refering to a inside joke about a toolshed.

Maynard has never said he was straight edge... and they're pretty open about the fact that they take drugs.

"The wait may be close to over for that new Tool CD!, the band say they're in the final stages of tweaking the next effort. The as yet untitled and probably unpronounceable collection is expected in the Spring, but I wouldn't hold your breath. It's the band's first new material in almost half a decade. "

Those dvds are gorgeous. Mine came in the mail today, finally (yes, Europe had to wait 3 more weeks).
is it really worth buying it, over hear in the states it is 10 dollars for each of them, don't they only have a music video on them.

I think the album will be ready by Spring, either late march or early april, as supposibly The Butterfly Effect (a great Australian Band) were booked to work with the producer of Tool's new album in november. Therefore Tool's album would have basically been finished in early Novemeber and all that would have been left to do would be the packaging, but we also know they can be very tedius with this also.
But yeah I think the album will come out when the sticker said.
Fuck, when you put it like that, over half a decade seems a lot longer than it actually is! lol
