On October 25th "Monster Movie" "Tago Mago" "Ege Bamyasi" and "Soundtracks" are gonna be re-released.

That kicks ass. Now I can actually own them with top-notch sound - not a fan of the audio Mp3s circulating on soulseek.

I must say Ege bamyasi is quite a let down for me after listening to Tago Mago. Now listening to future days, which is nice luckely.

I decided to bump this since I'm listening to Can right now and they are amazing. I'm in love with Ege Bamyasi at the moment, but am giving Soundtracks a test run. Absolutely beautiful.

I'm bumping this because I think "Soon Over Babaluma" might be my favorite Can album. It is perhaps more criminally underrated than Soundtracks. I think it's as good as the big three of Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi, and Future Days.

how are those remasters that came out? i have the earlier cd editions, and some vinyl, but i'm wondering if the remasters are done well enough that it would definitely be worth picking them up.

I have the remastered Tago Mago and it sounds fantastic. Has a nice liner note too.

I know this is a total Can n00b question, but does the Radiohead cover of "The Thief" bear any resemblance to the original? I really like this song (and I do mean the song, not just the performance), and am curious. I think maybe I would like to check this band out.
