Just saw the Madonna/Miranda thread, and thought about making a list of all the themes/riffs Omar has used from other songs, and matching them up with other songs

1. Viscera Eyes Ending - Aquella Mujer (Bobby Valentin)

2. Con Safo - Third Movement of Sailor's Tale (King Crimson Mark III)

I see Goliath as a mixture of Hand of Doom (Black Sabbath) and 21st Century Schizoid Man (King Crimson MKI)

So...

1. Viscera Eyes Ending - Aquella Mujer (Bobby Valentin)
2. Con Safo - Third Movement of Sailor's Tale (King Crimson Mark III)
3. Goliath - 21st Century Schizoid Man (King Crimson) / Lone Ranger (Betty Davis) / Hand of Doom (Black Sabbath)

I thought the ending to Cygnus was also inspired by 21st Schizo

El Ciervo Vulnerado is really similar to some Santana song but I don't remember what song it is.

If you're going to do that, you should also put that Goliath sounds like Rapid Fire Tollbooth (Omar Rodriguez-Lopez).

I'm sorry but this isn't about Omar reusing his own riffs. That deserves his own thread.

But how about the end of Take the Veil and that one At the Drive In song that sounds exactly like it from Acrobatic Tenement??

Okay,

But also, can you define what song it is? I'm not that big of an AtDI fan and prefer not listening to an entire album in search of it

7. Halo Of Nembutals - Come Back And Stay (Paul Young)

when i first heard halo i wished juan would've included some of the tasty bass licks like the one at 01:13 or 01:58. they would fit his style perfectly.
