First off, it's not me who wrote the review, I just shared the link. Secondly, you do not have to cover all the tracks from the album when reviewing it, no? It's not something obligatory.

By the way, love the album.

yeah i liked the rest of the review too. just thought it was weird that the guy reviews all the tracks off noctourniquet... except the track noctourniquet. also i was/am in a bad mood.

i agree:

i. dammit, the artwork is precisely one of the highlights of this album, in my opinion.

ii. it's not the worst. but Mr Weppler doesn't know it:

So now Octahedron is the only TMV studio album I do not own.

But it flows well and sounds good (compared to Bedlam which was headache-inducing on earphones).

those headphones you are given on the train for free may never break, but believe me they are sons of satan.
JK, but now seriously, bedlam has never been headache-inducing for me and in fact i see it as their most accessible album to date ('accessible' not meaning 'bad' or 'pop'). anyway, my opinion on whether it's headache-inducing or not shouldn't count, because my ears are small, beautiful and volta-trained.

Of course it's not going to include Noctourniquet, but all other albums will be featured.

Oh, and it's not going to take 2 weeks or so as previously said, will have it up within next few days :D

And what do you guys think of having a podcast up comprised of TMV tracks entirely? We've got a page on MixCloud (http://www.mixcloud.com/ProgSphere), do you think it would be a cool idea? It would be cool we make a topic here on the forum and ask people to pick a track, so we can compile say 20 tracks at the most and have it up.

Any thoughts?

Not a terrible review, although the guy put a bit too much emphasis on "I think" and "to me" and such so it felt kind of lopsided. Naturally reviews aren't much more than personal opinion, but at the same time you don't want to draw too much attention to that otherwise it's easily dismissable. Could also use a bit more flow, a lot of it seems more like notes on the album than an actual review. Anywho, I digress.

Looking forward to that opus, and a podcast would be sweet, but I'd recommend not asking the coma. The discussion will go on for weeks and not a single track will be decided upon, other than Tourniquet Man not being included, which is pretty much a given.

It seems to me the reviewer has accidentally described the songs instead of reviewing them. In rather bland detail, as well.
