Well, he doesn't have the sheer speed or flow of someone like Gift of Gab, or the really good lyrics of someone like Saul Williams, so I guess that makes a pretty average rapper.

His beats are pretty awesome, though.

Im sorry bro but Saul isnt that great of a fucking rapper.
Kanye is a D-Bag but his albums are dope.
He needs a good slap to the face though.

I can't believe some people here are actually criticizing him over this. I find it absolutely hilarious.

At least from my point of view it's obvious that Kanye wasn't serious about this at all. He's just asking to stir up controversy and piss off the religious right some more, especially after their backlash regarding his Rolling Stone cover.

Just chill out. Kanye's awesome.

Overrated cocksmoker.

Kayne West doesn't deserve a mention on the coma. yet alone in the bible.

Fuck him

That's a bold statement and I've gotta completely disagree. I really don't like any of his stuff at all. To each his own I guess.

To be completely fair, I would just like to ask if you've even heard either of his albums in their entirety.

his albums are good, but they're nothing amazing. granted, its better than 99% of the MTV rap that is out there these days.

As far as I'm concerned, he's a rapper.

Which means that I automatically take him half as seriously as I would other people in terms of what he does and says.

I'm really going to disagree with it being as good as FTM.
i didn't get into it at all.

but then again rap isn't a genre i much enjoy.

i never let people's personal lives get in the way of what they do to entertain me.

unless the person kills people or rapes people.

there are lines.

being a pompous dick isn't one of them.

Cedric seems like he could be a pompous dick sometimes for sure... but I still like his singing

There are plenty of great artists that are straight assholes...
