Which part ???

HAHAHA

That's amazing.

The whole song except for ass fucking son of a bitch.
I'm so glad my teacher is cool, instead of making posters my band can just make songs.
Same with the chem teacher, we did a song about Argon.

Yeah, keep the Cannibal Corpse vocals to other grind acts, I want my Daughters drowned in liquor or screaming.

I wasn't talking about low end vocals. I don't like shit like that at all.

The singer's vocals back when he was in As The Sun Sets were pretty raw.

Ah. I think I would still like that, but his vocals on Hell Songs are much more fun. Doesn't sound like every other band.

i've started listening to this band heavily for the first time since my freshman year in high school. i forgot how fucking badass they are. the new album is so sick, they have such a distinctive sound that doesn't detract from the fuck-your-face style rock n' roll that's at the core of their music. fuck yeah.

My friend says Canada Songs isn't even worth listening to once you hear Hell Songs. Because of this, I've never taken the time to DL it. Is this true?

Also, the new songs that Daughters played were around 4 or 5 minutes each, so expect a longer record. It was more dancey, but a good kind. Like the beginning of "Recorded Inside A Pyramid".

i haven't listened to canada songs in forever, i've only been listening to hell songs. i have a hard time stomaching all that screaming nowdays. it's pretty solid, though, just more of the dissonant riffs that we know and love.

Canada Songs is a classic. If you don't mind the screaming download it.

New album and no bump or new thread? This used to be a nice place to discuss music, now there is constantly a bunch of timid bullshit on the front page.

Anyway, Daughters - Daughters (self titled, 2010).

It's fantastic, as chaotic as it ever was but with a new found sense of overpowering groove and bass heaviness. Their singer is still impersonating David Yow, not that such is a terrible thing. You could say it was more straightforward in songwriting, but if you actually take in the music for a moment you hear their is still a whole shitfit of chaotic noise underneath the bass driven grooves. Great record.

There are some incredible songs, but some of them tend to run together.

Daughters have suspended all activity for the immediate future, with all remaining shows of their current tour cancelled and no new Patreon releases or charges beyond December 1st.

This is most likely in the face of abuse allegations thrown toward Alexis Marshall from Lingua Ignota (Kristen Hayter) while they were dating back in early October. He has also been removed from the Sargent House artist page in the last month. Further info on the allegations (for those interested) can be found in this post:

Oof 😐

YWGWYW is one of my favourite records. Might be hard to listen to it now. Hard to know Sinner Get Ready is written about Alexis, that is crushing
