Juan talks about joining TMV, Jeremy's death, and finally sheds light on why Blake Fleming didn't stick (calls him a racist asshole). Too lazy to transcribe so listen yourself! He says Blake brought his wife on tour and she kept trying to have 3-somes. He also says he hasn't talked to Omar since the split. All Volta talk starts after 40:00.

He spent hours on the phone with Omar trying to get him not to kick out Jon... WHY DIDNT OMAR LISTEN
ps. Juan made the first time Deantoni joined in 2006 sound like a hella exciting time. Wish he would have stayed the first time when Omar was still interested in TMV

Weird to think how different the direction in music would have been.

LMAO im dying. Exactly what me and others were talking about on this forum a few days ago. Another idiot interviewer. Juans going on about TMV influences like Can, King Crimson, Latin, etc, the guy blurts out "IT WAS LIKE A SANTANA-RUSH-ZEPPELIN!!!"
God I hate lazy people who know nothing about music and just blurt out the most obvious popular bands they can think of to represent volta. Santana. Rush. Zeppelin. Really?
Keeps calling him John Alderete haha, dumbass.
Juan: "cuz Omar and Cedric didn't really say much"..
Interviewer: "like a cult right!?"
Me: *facepalm*

At one point he interrupts Juan RIGHT when he's about to say some cool stuff. Juan was like "before Pridgen we called up everybody! we called like.." right there the guy interrupts him. Son-of-a!

Yeeeah. And his voice is annoying. And right when Juan's talking about some Volta stuff he just skips ahead like "How was the Alaska shows??"
but great stuff, when you skipped all the buddy talk. (my cup of tea, that is)

I guess he's cool but I don't know, a little too obnoxious in a way for me. But he seems nice.
