The mix is solid but a little stuffed. But it still destroys. Ximena used in small doses but I think she’s at her best on Desarraigo, which is a serious contender for my fav Omar tune of all time. Big shout out to Oremos, one of the most underrated tunes in his catalogue. Those verses are to die for.
It’s nice having a couple of years to distant myself from the Ipecac series. I can compare them with his older works without being attached to what’s simply fresher.

a reddit user has pointed out that the lyrics of "Mundo de Ciegos" directly reference "Perdóname" by Sonora Ponceña:
it's pretty much guaranteed given that Omar included that Sonora Ponceña album, "Hacheros Pa' Un Palo," in a list of his favorite records: https://thequietus.c...favourite-music
Xenophanes is really one of the best, and it's great to still be discovering new things about it.
between this and the Viscera Eyes coda, i wonder how many of these little references Omar writes into his songs.
