well maybe it's just an effect or Omar's voice, but it sounds too good just to be a pitch shifting stuff. Sounds too much like Teri

It's probably going to sound like Ciencia de Los Inutiles
The two albums also have a similar background colour in terms of the artwork, so they must be the same.
;)
I like the intimacy of "Ciencia", to which her wholesome voice and the contrabass fit very well.
Regarding "Corazones", the first thirty seconds and other parts of "It Was Her" are so lovely, they might be the imaginary intro to the theoretical "pop album" which was being discussed at the time and which would turn out to be "Octahedron". "Certainty", well certainty breaks the heart. And the brief guitar parts at around forty-five seconds in "If I Told You The Truth I Would Be Made Of Lies", has anyone else missed these?

Omars deep voice is great, the mixing is great, and even though this Album is pop,it has omaresque elements.

does anyone else Ximena on "Some Sort of Justice?" @ 2:28
I think the thought/fantasy/longing of her being on it makes me love the song even more (definitely my favorite somber track on the album) [saw them live together during the Lorentz jam days in Hollywood, wonderful night]
the bit at 3:38 "life wooooon't find a way" really cements it for me. I guess I'd rather live in denial with this one. anyone else hear it?

i wasn't really a fan of this at first but it's definitely grown on me, aside from "running away" and "five easy pieces". anybody else in that boat?

this one grew on me a lot, i was jarred at first too because of the stark change in what we're all used to but it comes off as powerful and refreshing now. this era (2011-2012) of omar will always strike a chord with me because i watched my mother die from brain cancer around the same time his mom died. it was very surreal hearing my favorite artist go through the same shit i was going through at the same time and trying to work it out. i've listened to it was her dead heart many many times, this line especially always gets me: stuffed dogs all around me when you leave me with my insanity alone, alone. and then it goes into that solo...i know all those emotions so well that are all over this album and un corazon de nadie

Honestly don't have a good ear for this, but both the CH and Ipecac editions are still on Spotify. The CH version sounds "lusher" and some ambient sounds feel more prominent. Plz confirm

I asked Johann about this and AraƱas on Facebook. Will let you know if he repliesinteresting because it's pretty lush as is, definitely one of the objectively better produced albums from the series. I'm wondering if CH will do a rundown of some of the stuff they did, given the volume I'm sure there's some interesting details
I agree that hopefully we hear a bit of a statement in regards to digital re-releases. I haven't heard a lot of these albums in a long time so its easy to imagine that parts are different when they might not be
