"Xenochrony is a studio-based musical technique developed at an unknown date, but possibly as early as the early 1960s, by Frank Zappa, who used it on several albums. Xenochrony is executed by extracting a musical part from its original context and placing it into a completely different song, in order to create an unexpected but pleasing effect. He said that this was the only way to achieve some rhythms."

 

In this case I think we should include remakes too, just to make the list as complete as possible.

Ocho contains Manir al Shuja (very effectively) - I think that this is also in Healed and Raised by Wounds, very much in the background.

It's great isn't it? So effective. Ocho could be his best track.

 

For the record, I think Infinity Drips is an amazing album, can't understand the hate for it. To me it's one of the key albums as it unlocks many of the others - it's clear that the field trip made a huge impression on Omar.
