I heard enough of these guys when they first started to not be even the slightest bit interested. Maybe I'll give it a listen eventually, not high on my list though.

I think the recording is great with some of the most respectable musicians, Dave Jackson on keys, Jon Reshard on bass, and Thomas even got Adrian Terrazas-Gonzales on flutes and sax for this album. I'm not two fond of the first two tracks but the rest of the album builds up quite well.

I don't understand the hate for this band, only because this seems to be one of the few bands who is putting all heart into their records.

Isn't that Elixir On Mute's new album?

Nope, the new record. I believe Adrian is on about three tracks.

Funny thing is Nick Brewer left the band long before the album was finished. The next one will probably feature Jordan Ferreira, that will change things up a lot.

The Long Halloween features Jon and Adrian too along with other guests.

Sounds awesome to me.

sucks that a great player like Ambrose Akinmusire got sucked into playing on such a shit album
