Since Omar stated that many of the improv they do live is them "rehearsing" new material (Sauce interview) and many of the old jams have become songs (Drunkship-Cygnus and Roulette-Goliath for example). What do you want to hear or think will appear on the new album (or future releases). I think the Fever Jam they've been playing with Goliath is very cool, although I don't think it will appear on any future Mars Volta releases (maybe B-Sides though).

Yeah, I was tempted to use the search function, but honestly when does that ever really help anyone with what they're looking for  .

Also the Drunkship Jam from '05 would definatly make a killer song(part).

Damn I bet you're right, a lot of the Drunkship material was probably on that bitch. And we'll never get to hear it.

I really dig the idea of the band going back and using live material for new songs. That's definitely what's up!

I'm happy to just leave this as a new thread for track new jams that could contain future material. Some past material that pops up on Bedlam:

Omega Coda
"All of this time / bedsore containment / where am i now that the music has faded"

Some new jams that have appeared:

Goliath fever jam (not likely to appear on future albums b/c it's still just the Rapid Fire Tollbooth riff)
Conjugal Burns jam (maybe some of the riffs that appear in it could pop up in the future)

...And that's it. In conclusion, they need more jams on live Bedlam.

from I show I went to in 04 they had a cygnus riff played over and over again in the 30 minute Cicatriz. Not to mention Cassandra is heard in countless bootlegs of Cicatriz early on.

it will probably be a while before we start seeing material from lp5 appear in bedlam jams... especially if the next album actually turns out to be mainly acoustic.

Conjugal jam @ Soma is incredible. Its like 6mins, its sick.

There may not be any particulalry new new jams, but the Europe tour has so many little gems hidden in its song. What I mean is the variance to which Cygnus, and Drunkship are played so differently each night is amazing. Everynight its something new, and to some extent even Roulette and Goliath.

It was in one of those tons of interviews that came out along with the album, Omar said he had an album of material he scrapped because it sounded too much like Frances. I think he said there was an hour long song that sounded like another Cassandra.
