So Omar's been on record multiple times saying that he & the boys would insert & test out new songs during concerts (Nardwuar Interview (youtube)). Well the folks here have done a great job of cataloging the shows of the past year AND we've already got 4 OCTAHEDRON tracks (MU of 4 leaked OCT tracks (.rar)), THANKS HolaChau) so.....

I was wondering if anyone's keen ears have picked up OCT segments in any of the bootlegs. My first guess is that those 30 minute Goliath & Cygnuses may be fertile grounds.

Once the album is finally leaked / released, we can use this thread if any of the other 4 tracks crop up.

Here's hoping :~)

So far I haven't recognized anything, but I also don't go through as many boots as I used to. Definitely haven't recognized anything from Detour last year...and it's honestly been too long since the other California shows at the beginning of the year.

Well this album was already finished in mid-2008. So maybe look through 2007/early-2008 boots.

I reckon the cotopaxi mid-song breakdown, or a similiar sounding riff, can be found in the deantoni jams from late '06.. to my ears anyway

The supposed 30 second clip of Halo of Numbutals sounds suspiciously similar to the Drunkship jam at Personal Fest.
Actually, now that I listen to it.. I think it IS the Drunkship jam.

I think Drunkship is a fertile ground for new songs, they always play strange things on it, sometimes they play some mellow parts

DAMN, wasn't expecting a cool find so quickly! Any links for Drunkship @ Personal Fest??

Definitely a good point. I hadn't listened to the OCT tracks before I started the topic, but it sounds like chilled OCT songs in the frenzied post-Bedlam tour is kinda unlikely. Makes me really wonder what LP6 is gonna be like.....

It is. Someone just cut out a clip from Drunkship @ Personal Fest and then said it was from Halo of Nembutals, because we were all at that feverish 'I'LL KILL SOMEONE IF I DON'T GET A LEAK IN THE NEXT 3 HOURS' stage and were gullible to lap up any link that was posted.
