With all respect to Jon, IMO they took Cygnus to a whole new level with Thomas. Seriously, some of the '07-'09 performances of Cygnus are brainmelting.
Thomas may have been a wanker, but when you have that many chaotic elements going into a mix, every now and then some REAL GEMS come out. And I think they played those real gems pretty consistently, until the obvious emotional split that took place mid 2009 when they went from playing 3 hour shows to 1 hour shows.
