You would be crazy to miss listening to Swans first album in 14 years, whether you know about Swans or have never heard them before. One of the most unique, musically dense and heavy albums I've ever heard. The lyrics are also sharp as a razor's edge.

Bonus for all you hipsters out there, Devendra Banhart sings lead on a track.

Saw them recently when they came to Montreal. One of the best shows I've ever been to.
Micheal Gira signed all the vinyls that he had on sale at the show, which is pretty awesome.
New album is fantastic.

Still haven't got around to listening to this one yet. Decided to check out the live album Omniscience recently and haven't really soaked that in, so a few more listens of that and I'll probably check this one out.
For some reason I wasn't really very excited at the prospect of a new album :/ Really enjoyed the last Angels Of Light album and was looking forward to seeing what direction that project would go in.

I've never heard of them before but I'm listening to the first track of their new album and I think I'm already hooked.. Thanks for recommending them! I'm downloading their full discography now.

A good place to start with Swans is The Great Annihilator
I also love White Light From The Mouth Of Infinity

Beware the early albums, they are intense.

That's the OP and I think he's just pissed off at the lack of popularity of this band's thread. Read it again.
