Been playing a lot of Can lately and I know quite a few of you listen to them as well. Put Soundtracks in both places just to be fair so I guess if you really like it, you can vote for it twice!

I've only heard Ege Bamyasi and Tago Mago, but I'd go with Ege Bamyasi. I'm thinking Future Days for my next purchase of theirs. Anyone agree?

re-listening to Soon over Babaluma right now because of the poll results and wow... this music is blowing my mind right now.. so before its time that it's fucking ridiculous. and i just realized that the song "I Zimbra" by the Talking Heads sounds a lot like "Chain Reaction" (ie. the drum beat at the beginning and the end)

also added Delay to Mooney's Era to give it more to choose from. not technically a studio album but fuck it.

Monster movie
Tago Mago
Soon over Babaluma

Monster movie because a debut is always something special.
Tago Mago because it contains my favorite Can song (called o yeah, that one is so damn trippy)
Soon over Babaluma is just a gift from the gods. No dull moment on that one.

Soundtracks
Future Days
Soon over Babaluma

Had a VERY tough time with the Damo era as I switch favorites between Future Days, Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi very frequently.

I haven't heard a single song by them. (Except for the "Thief" song by Radiohead (The only song I've really heard by Radiohead too, btw  ))

What's their sound like? And what record would you guys think be the best for a starter? :P

The correct answer is Tago Mago. It's all downhill after that.
