Didn't listen to Octopus Kool-Aid. When was this recorded? Looking at Omar's solo work helps get a good idea what his bigger projects will sound like depending on when they were recorded.

holy shit I'm on the second song and this is so good. Almost willing to say that this will be the best album since Cizana.

I assume he did everything by himself again, since I don't see any credits for this album?

There is no way he did the drumming. I'm guessing maybe it's Deantoni, but, like someone else said, it kinda sounds like Thomas at points. The breakdown section of Popolon is so sick, like some tweaked-out psychedelic Puerta Rican funk.

At least we got some guitars on this release. There are some nice grooves here and there, some creative sounds, but Omar still can't shake the crappy vocals. Hopefully there's more where this came from.

This is great, dientes keys actually sound a lot like vangelis blade runner stuff at points, which is always a good thing

Yea only on the second song and already the singing is getting a bit old, its been done on so many albums.
If he insists on singing, he should probably go see ceddys voice coach, just for a little more range.

In the countries of the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico), Popola means vagina, Popolon is hyperbole of vagina, "Big vagina"

Ah this is good. Am surprised at the slight relief and nostalgia I'm getting from this, I missed his more out there and freer experimental stuff. Reminds me of Mantra Hiroshima and his more trippy effects albums like Cuts and Scrapes and Megaritual. An excellent suprise release!
