Okay,

First off, does anyone think this is gonna create somewhat of a divide between the two members, things sound pretty bad, I could be being overly dramatic but Cedric sounds pretty pissed at Omar, and I think we can all agree it'd be pretty werid to think of these two guys as not being friends anymore never mind having bad blood between each other.

Secondly Cedric said on twitter that he wanted to do a full north american tour, presumably this year, but Omar declined. It seems with this, amongst other things Cedric had a bit different of a vision for The Mars Volta. As he has said in the past and today he wanted to include other members, one time he said kinda like a Grateful Dead fashion, not entirely sure what that means but I am assuming having different line ups play seamlessly. His post today citing Thedore is confusing because I thought Cedric would have been down as fuck with Deantoni. It seems Omar didn't really have a future vision for The Mars Volta, and that is where there is a split between the two. Omar could have easily done this collobration era shit with The Mars Volta and probably in a much more successful fashion. I feel like the 'pop'/'acoustic' what ever the fuck you wanna call it records (Octa/Nocto) could have actually been successfully executed if collobration was part of the process of those two albums. Anyways, Im just ranting but it feels like this is just part of Omars tendency at being compulsive and breaking things off in a bad way with people he is involved with musically, seeing as some of the line up changes in Volta have been pretty bitter and at least from what some past members have said Omar didn't let members go in the best fashion. But as someone said before he may easily come crawling back to Volta if this project isn't a success amongst other possible scenarios. Cedrics solo albums will be a master piece, Bosnian, im not sure about yet, its sounding pretty good but nothing amazing or anything, and Juan, Ikey, Deantoni and Marcel will continue to be the biggest bad asses on the planet.

So Omar has truly proven himself to be a narcissistic self-centered douche bag who cares nothing about the fans who made him relevant. Big thanks to Cedric for actually realizing this. This really taints anything Omar's made lately

I still have hope they can patch things up, somewhere down the line. But I guess it's on Omar

2 be clear I'm not angry I just wanted to be honest with the people who have allowed me to make a living playing music.

What am I suppose to do be some progressive house wife that's cool with watching their partner go fuck other bands? We owe it 2 fans to tour

Took ten years before he could play ATDI again and that was solely for money. Even if they did reunite I wouldn't support that just because of how much of an ass he's made of himself

Have not read anything other than the OP ...

MARK MY WORDS as Negrodamus:

This is all bullshit. It's "shwitter." Did you really expect Cedric would tell the truth to the fans? His precious people? No. This is what we call "building a market base."

Like Marty Scorsese doing a mainstream studio film every now and again, Omar likely had to "sell out" (ATDI reunion) in order to help finance his true labors of love. In regards to his detached onstage performance with ATDI, it's been well understood that his mother had just passed away.

"And for the record I'm still in love with ATDI. Proof was in MY performance. I would never get on stage if my heart was else where." (cont-)

This one is pretty harsh as well. If this is all true there does seem to be some bad blood boiling up between them.

Maybe I'm just a little bit more than a little intoxicated.... but as someone who has seen them 11 times live and loved this band for more than 8 years of his life... I'm crying my eyes out after reading Cedric's tweets....

Watching the Nissan live sets in the Voltas honour...

I'd rather Omar follow his heart and band up with those that share a similar vision.
