don't know if this belongs in this thread, because it's just using a direct sample
the first few bars of: Durango Sangrando - Spinetta
is the sample d is using for saturnine on sworn virgins
was always wondering where that came from.

So I decided to play Sex, Consolation for Misery at 2x speed and it appears to be based on a loop from Of Ankles To Stone (drums & bass).

Y'know, I always thought there was something a bit weird about those drums so that checks out. Does this imply Of Ankles to Stone was recorded to tape, since that slow-down effect is much easier to achieve? On that note, determining what Omar albums were recorded analog and which were digital would be a good project for coma-nerds to take on.

In Meccamputechture, just before "it lacks a human pulse", part of Tetragrammaton is played backwards. Does that count?

it wouldn't be the first time Omar's used a tape-slowed drum part; he evidently used the same trick for the weird industrial sounds at the end of Drunkship (iirc, it's a drum part taken from Eriatarka).
