pre order was posted in the other thread, but here it is here: http://www.amazon.co...=glance&s=music

i don't know if i want to go this route, as it will be expensive, but I don't know if this will get pressed in the states, so i'll probably have to deal withe price.

The new album is sold at the venues of the Omar A. Rodriguez Lopez-Quintet (infos from other members: € 12 for the cd or vinyl), I read about a release date for Europe on November 28th, for example at amazon.co.uk

Yes it is out and for sale at the shows. I just bought it yesterday in Antwerp and it is absolutely brilliant. It is recorded in Amsterdam in June and all the titles and information is in Dutch. It has 5 songs on it totalling about 45 minutes.

Besides Omar the following are playing as well:
Adrian Terrazas-Gonzales - Saxophone and percussion
Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez - Drums, keys, percussion and gong
Juan Alderete de la Pena - Bass
Cedric Bixler-Zavala - percussion
Jonathan Robert de Baun - Recordings and bass
Eric Salas - Drums

The titles are:
Een ode aan Ed van der Elsken (a Dutch photographer who made a lot of photo's of Amsterdam)
Regenbogen stelen van prostituees
Jacob van Lennepkade
Vondelpark bij nacht
Spookrijden op het fietspad'

Translated it would be something like
An ode to Ed van der Elsken
Stealing rainbows from prostitutes
Jacob van Lennepkade (just a street in Amsterdam)
Vondelpark at night
Cycling on the wrong side of the bicyclelane

i knew cedric was going to be involved, and not vocally.

one is for 10 euros and the other is 22 dollars, these don't correspond after conversion. Is it the shiiping overseas part that makes the american amazon so much more? If I bought it off amazon.com.uk would it be just as much after shipping?

if someone could rip it, that would be fan-fucking-tastic. :) but that just my opinion. how about 128kbps rips to motivate the purchase?

uuh, mind the currencies, at amazon.co.uk it's £ 10, which is about € 15 and the $ 22 (about € 18) from amazon.com are for the import cd

If you live in the US and buy at amazon.co.uk, you'll have to pay for the shipping, so that's altogether probably as much as the prize at amazon.com for the import cd

And for anyone distrusting the links, why not just follow them?

The main reason for my distrusting them are lack of pictures and the fact that if you type in "Omar Rodriguez" you get a few results that aren't Omar. The album that is his is listed as Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, not just Rodriguez.

it's the right one as the label on amazon cooresponds with that of the cover design found here for omars newest album (willie anderson is the label):

I've seen a picture of the album (follow the link firstrays123 posted) before searching for it on amazon and on the cover it says "Omar Rodriguez", so I wasn't confused that it can only be found on amazon sites by searching for "Omar Rodriguez" and not by searching for "Omar Rodriguez-Lopez", sorry I didn't want to sound unpolite .

And it's nothing new that covers and additional product information on amazon are not as quick as fans wish for it - especially with cd's from artists like Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.
