Big Sur Waterbeds?
Big Sur is a small town in CA where a lot of people go to camp... It's a national forest...

Big Sir is also the name of a band that includes bassist Juan Alderete, singer Lisa Papineau, and producer Bruce Bouillet. Their albums include Big Sir (2000), Now That's What I call Big Sir (2001), and an upcoming release in 2006. -Wiki
juan really loves being in bands with chick singers.

ever since may 13, 2004 I have beena a believer as well. The Take the Veil bass solo for that night and all of the wiltern nights is rediculous. Flea and Juan are both amazing muscians, imagine a mars volta album where they track two bass parts in every song, one from flea and one from juan; I bet they could come up with some beautiful stuff togethar.

Flea isn't dynamic. Other than the fact that he can slap kind of well, he really doesn't do much impressive outside of the gimick.he's not half as dynamic of bass player as flea... who are you kiddidng....
not to say he's bad, but come on
Juan takes a whole lot from Jaco and other jazz cats, but he is miles more dynamic than flea.
