Whats all this talk about Plauge Upon Your Hissing and Amputechture? I've heard Amputechture and i don't hear anything resembling it. Please explain why it's being mentioned with Amputechture.

EDIT: This thread is now a discussion for past material showing up on Amputechture. Discuss.

Alright, let me rephrase my question now. Has Plauge been redone into Days of the Baphomets? The lyrics don't sound the same but cedrics melodies surely do.

Not a remake, it IS the same lyrics, at least I noticed at the beginning of the song.

Sawing at the pavement
Repented theyre past lives
might not be the only major left
to be left behind

fondelier this dashbox
cattle prodding team
single in the sedatives
to emaciate their queen

i belive these are the only lyrics quoted and i think cedric used these because it has to do with sacficing which seems to be part of the albums concept.

I'm changing this thread to a discussion about previous released/jammed material that's reappeared here. The bassline of Meccamputechture is from Ambuletz, it has to be. Discuss

Hmmmmm, maybe. I will go listen to both of them!

Also, I'm surprised that, after all the talk of things like Gust of Mutts (and Ghosted Pouts) & Drunkship jam being incorporated, they weren't on there. I least I dont think they are.

It certainly does seem to be a hodge-podge of other songs. The guitar riff in this really reminds me of a track off the Radio Vago album (which Omar produced and played on by the way...).

It's very odd indeed.

yeah, i'm pretty sure the whole speculation about enmore turned out to be a load of poo. sure, that was a sweet drunkship but for future reference: structure doesn't mean you're hearing a new song

Bump. Either i'm crazy or i just heard a part of Meccamputechture in the enmore jam of Eria Tarka. Omar starts playing this AMP riff during a jam and i'm sure it's off of Mecca.

Theres a part in the vermicide solo which reminds me of a part in 'around white knuckle tile' from a manual dexterity vol1. Vermicide (3:43-3:46) and AWKT (4:11-4:13). I know its only small but i always notice it every time i listen.

Well, they're probably saving the live stuff for the fourth record.

That's what I really hope, but I have to say that some of the ideas in Day of the Baphomets definitely seem really similar to the Drunkship jam, but much more riffy and breakneck in pace.

I just heard a baphomets riff on Concertina - The Wiltern - 5/13/04.

Concertina: 5:30-5:41
Day of Baphomets: 6:46-6:58

anyone else hear the resemblence?

it sounds like it has more of a structure on baphomets, but when I heard it on concertina for the first time, 'day of baphomets' flashed in my brain.
