Ok so yea there were a bunch of shit about how much cock pink floyd blew and what not.....but i wanted to know how many of u like or dislike The White Stripes? I bought that white blood cells album and it was bugged out at first but then i was like "yo theyre not as good as the media puts them" im not saying that they are completly wack but i think that they are way overrated. Its like nowadays...suck at the drums....and make simple songs and ur fuckin allover the place. i mean seriously Rolling Stone gave Elephant 5 out of 5. what the fuck? :turtle: :mike:

Yes, it is just you.

I feel like a shithead saying this, but instrumental talent is not always as important as songwriting talent.

they're okay. overrated, of course, but few bands in rolling stone and other magazines aren't.

not necessarily lyrics, his lyrics are pretty good, but it's the actual music writing. Jack has a knack for writing a lot of songs (especially on "White Blood Cells") that are catchy as hell.

I still haven't heard Elephant.

to extents, i can respect the ability of someone to craft a great, concise pop song. as long as they're doing it themselves and not having a production team create it for them.

The White Stripes are one of the few bands that are in the mainstream that I wholeheartedly enjoy. Every success for them is one that I will raise my hands and cry 'Huzzah!' for.

De Stijl is an amazing album, except for the first song, which is mediocre.

I enjoy them because it's fun music and it's base enough to not have to do anything about. Yes, hearing them on the radio every 2 seconds on multiple stations is annoying, but that doesn't make em bad.

I almost never listen to the radio regardless.

Started out with the self-titled, which I like best.

A song that is catchy isn't necessarily good, and we don't always like it. However in this case, it is and we do.
