Can't believe there's no BoC thread yet (I searched for it ... there isn't any for the band itself, trust me).

I stumbled across their music around the release of Geogaddi (2002?) and it took like 2 or so more years to finally appreciate their greatness (considered them smooth, but kinda "elevator muzak" for a pretty long time). When finally got my hands on Twoism (I mean ... the ep) ... well ... I fell in love with their weepin' synths and old documentary samples for good.

They've come a long way since Twoism and I think (well ... I kinda hope) The Campfire Headphase is the direction they're heading with their future releases.
I like all this complex drumming, acoustic guitars and that jazz. It's the feeling they create that makes BoC one of the more distinctive and emotional electronic acts ... esp. Twoism, but then again nearly all of their tunes are sheer awesomness ...

opinions?

The Campfire Headphase is the perfect soundtrack to, well, a campfire. It's lovely, warm, universal music.

I like it how they put so much warmth into digital music. All this static, the crackling samples, the analogue humming of electricity ... hope it doesn't take them another 5 years to make a new album ...

Does any of you have any BoC live stuff to share or trade?

i don't think they play live

That might explain the lack of live sets on teh interwebz :(
Would be great music to sit on meadows and chew on neatly designed acid blotters though ...

I made some artwork and have included it.
Includes photos from the venue and event.

This is an excellent stereo audience recording,
judging by the volume and close proximity of the applause.

Lineage unknown.

This is my first audio upload, so I hope it works properly.
A rare early performance from this amazing duo.
This is perhaps the best sounding and most well known.
Anyone with information regarding the names of tracks 7 and 8,
please let me know and I can update the artwork to include these titles.

Enjoy !

Could anyone explain to me what "BoC Maxima" is supposed to be? It's not a regular album as far as I know, but it seems to be kinda semi-official ... couldn't find it anywhere to buy though. Is it a bootleg or what?

They totally have ME ... just finished downloading A Few Old Tunes, which seems to be great stuff. They are and always will be my first choice when it comes to downbeat electronica. And I own a black Twoism CD, which looks cool as fuck.
