I got this idea from 4chan. We should make a subforum for Drunkship that shows the topics of Drunkship that are safe for work/school/etc. It wouldn't have to contain the threads, just dummy links to them. We could have moderators approve topics as being Safe or have members have the option of voting topics as Safe.

The only problem I see is that if once a topic is deemed Safe, someone might post scat porn or something in them. So perhaps once a topic is called Safe, all images have to be approved?

What do you guys think eh?

maybe this is directly related to the guest problem. maybe the guests are members who are self moderating and dont want to rely on other people to do everything for them. maybe the guests grew a pair. maybe.

you can disable images in your control panel. You can also disable sigs and avatars if you find those offensive as well.

There seems to be too much bureaucracy in this. Mods would need to review every thread and allowing approved pictures only to be posted seems to be a v.slow process that restricts the spontaneity of the discussion.

posting "the internet is serious business" bullshit in the SITE SUGGESTIONS section is actually ridiculous, you guys. This is the part of the coma where we talk about serious things. It is what it is designated for. I can't believe i actually have to spell that out.

as far as your idea dude... um, it seems like a lot of work and really wouldn't accomplish much. wasn't a bad idea though. 4chan actually needs a place like that. the coma, not so much.
