I would also like to add that the version the Mars Volta uses for the intro is from the Ennio Morricone album, "Per Un Pugno Di Dollari." There are a few versions of it from the album, one the Mars Volta uses, one that's shorter, and one that's slower.
Also, the version the Mars Volta uses appears in Kill Bill 2.
